Collection of Goods
Collection of Goods can only go ahead once cleared funds have been received for all Lots on your invoice.
Where a Third Party is to collect Goods, please ensure that they are aware of the Lot Numbers to be collected and the relevant Bidder number. Please contact the auction site office with haulage/shipment details for goods to be collected, including the date of collection, approximate time and written confirmation that the Goods may be released to the haulier.
For Goods being exported, please note that VAT is charged on the hammer price and is to be paid prior to shipment. Any VAT paid on the hammer price will be refunded once Northern Exchange Auctions receives the necessary export documents.
For all Lots being exported outside of the UK, Third Party proof of delivery is required immediately after delivery.
Acceptable proof of delivery includes:
- Haulage Invoice
- Shipping Invoice
- Bill of Lading (original needed)
- CMR document (original needed)
Buyers are liable for any additional costs involved in preparing Lots for shipment.
Buyers must ensure appropriate loading equipment is available where necessary. Northern Exchange Auctions staff are available to assist with loading by prior arrangement.
